Tina Finch, Marketing Director, London Radio, Bauer Media
After a brief stint teaching English in Tokyo in 1994/1995, Tina’s career has been focused exclusively on the marketing of media brands.
Starting out as a Marketing Assistant and ending up as Marketing Manager, Tina spent 4 and a half years at the outdoor contractor Mills & Allen/JCDecaux. This was followed by 18 months as Marketing Manager and a key member of the launch team for the UK version of In Style magazine.
In 2002, Tina moved into radio where she spent a fun and busy 5 years as Head of Marketing for Heart 106.2, before taking on the role as Marketing Director for the Heart brand. She was an instrumental part of the team that took Heart 106.2 to the number one position for the first time in the station’s history. Following the birth of her first child, Tina joined Bauer Media in 2008, first in radio and then on the magazine side of the business, as Head of Marketing for Closer, Top Sante and the company’s Parenting titles, before moving back to radio in the summer of 2009.
Tina has been Marketing Director for Magic and Kiss since 2009, and is tasked with driving new listeners into the stations, involving everything from TV advertising to events activation to PR.
Esme Godwin, The Chartered Institute of Marketing
Esme joined The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2008 and heads up the Marketing and Development team for its member communities.
Esme began her marketing career on the management development programme at Nationwide Building Society where she gained experience across the full marketing mix. This included direct marketing, advertising, retail marketing and product marketing as well as front line sales experience, before Esme took a permanent position in product marketing, managing the Investments product range.
Following this, Esme worked in a consultative role at Fitness First supporting individual fitness clubs to maximise local opportunities whilst remaining within the remit of the wider Fitness First brand. She has since used her mixture of experience to lead and develop the membership offering at the Institute promoting the brand and seeking to serve the needs of the marketing community. She has been a member of the Institute for a number of years after successfully completing her Professional Diploma and Professional Postgraduate Diploma and more recently joining the growing number of Chartered Marketers.

Christy Traore, Director of Postgraduate & Professional Programmes, BPP Business School
Christy’s career has spanned working within education for more than 15 years. Aside from her current role she has managed and developed numerous programmes in Marketing and Business.
Christy is currently a CIM examiner and also a Governor for East Berkshire College. Outside of the education market she has worked as an independent marketing consultant and has worked with numerous clients in areas such as couture fashion, food manufacturing this has incorporated strategic planning and development and PR. Her specific area of interest is luxury brands, and she has also set up and managed an overseas events company including events at the Monaco Grand Prix.
